This is the total of space that can be consumed on the server by the account. Our system counts web files, stored emails and MySQL data into the quota total.

Data that is passed over to the internet or received via the internet is called data transfer and counted towards the account quota. This includes but is not limited to hits/visits to hosted websites, emails received and sent along with files uploaded to the server via FTP.

Email features

Spam & Virus scanning
All email accounts are protected from spam and virus infected emails using our fully redundant advanced email cluster.
Horde webmail
Horde is a popular third party webmail application available for use on all of our accounts.
Squirrelmail
Squirrelmail is an alternate webmail application available on all accounts.
IMAP access
IMAP is a method of accessing email which stores all emails, folders and settings on the server instead of downloading to your own computer. This is often used by clients moving around various computers for using email.
POP3 access
POP3 is the most popular method of accessing email which downloads all emails and manages them on your computer using software such as Microsoft Outlook.
Auto responders
Auto responders can be setup to send acustom response email automatically whenever an email is received to a certain address.
Forwarders / Aliases
Forwarders can be setup to send all emails arriving at any email address on our server to a completely different address either hosted by us or not. For example, if you prefer using your ISP email account but have your own domain/website, you can forward any email arriving at your website domain to your ISP email address.
SMTP server
SMTP is used to send email via your hosting account. Despite some providers not permiting SMTP usage it is something we provide along with SMTP authentication.

Our script auto installer is provided with all accounts which can be used to install many popular third party scripts with just a few mouse clicks.
PHP 5
PHP is a hugely popular web programming language and is available on all of our servers.
MySQL 4 databases
MySQL is a database server installed on all servers.
Perl 5
Perl is another web programming language which is available on all servers.
phpMyAdmin
phpMyAdmin is a third party application used to administrate MySQL databases. This is available on all accounts with no installation or configuration.
Server Side Includes
Server Side Includes can be used on all servers and which is an additional technology in web development.
Htaccess support
We provide full htaccess support which allows clients to utilise mod_rewrite rules, custom redirects and many other features controlled using htaccess files.
AWStats and Webalizer
These are popular third party applications to monitor vists to all websites and produce daily reports and charts to represent all statistics.

Protected directories
Password protection can be applied to directories within your account using our control panel.
RAID5 storage
RAID is a technology using multiple physical hard drives to store data which act redundantly and can continue working to capacity even if one drive should fail.
50 Subdomains
Subdomains are additional domains based on the main hosted domain, eg subd.maindomain.co.uk. Many use subdomains to host separate elements of the same website such as a community forum, shopping cart, etc.
50 Parked domains
A parked domain is a separate domain name that is mapped to the main account domain and therefore shows the same website files when accessed. These are often used when different extensions of the same domain are in use, eg domain.com, domain.co.uk, etc.
Multi layered backups
Your data is of critical importance to us so we ensure that it is always backed up in our backup schedule. Not only do we provide access to backup features in the control panel we also backup all data to a separate hard drive daily and carry out data backups to our off server, high capacity storage system.
Cron tasks
Cron tasks are used to automatically run commands or execute scripts on a scheduled basis, eg once per day, once per month, etc.
Raw log manager
Website access logs can be used in third party software to generate statistics. We provide access to all raw logs via our control panel.
