Stability Promise
The hardware which vServers are housed on contains a minimum of six 15k SAS drvies in RAID10, 20 Ghz total CPU (8x 2.53 Ghz cores) and 12 GB RAM. In order to guarantee resources for all vServers on a node we undersell the resources and host a maximum of ten vServers on a single host machine (less in the case of higher vServer packages).
Fully Managed
Our 3rd generation vServers we are including our top level, 100% full management as standard. This includes the full suite of monitored services, regular audits, updates and maintenance along with our full support for anything that comes with the vServer. In fact, clients do not even need to have (and we recommend they don’t) root or SSH access allowing everything needing this level of access to be left to us.
Email Cluster (Spam and Virus Protection)
Our Mailguard email cluster ensures that all incoming email for the server first comes through our redundant spam and virus protection cluster which brings the benefits of almost zero spam and virus arriving at your vServer email inboxes. It also reduces load on the server because other spam prevention measures such as Spam Assassin are not needed.
DNS Clustering
On our new vServers our redundant DNS cluster is fully integrated so that all DNS zones are served from our geographically diverse, redundant DNS systems taking this load off your vServer and keeping all DNS online even in the even of vServer reboot or downtime.
Backups
All vServers are backed up daily on a node level which involve storing an ‘image’ of the whole server suitable for emergency restoration only. In addition to the emergency backups we configure all vServers to store cPanel server and user account backups on an off server SAN which can be used for whole vServer restore along with individual file/directory restore from any of the daily, weekly or monthly archives (space allowing).
