For several years we have used one of the leaders in rackmount server vendors, Supermicro for all of our machines. In late 2007, after much research and testing we have moved away from this specification and chosen state of the art HP blade systems for our ongoing hardware requirements.
The HP blade systems provide extremely high quality compontents resulting in superb overall uptime and stability. Along with the major advantages of the blade infrastructre such as the economical use of physical space and power, global management and control option and much more, these systems provide a perfect base for our high quality services.

From 2007 we use HP BladeSystems for all of our customer hosting servers which provide extremely high uptime, stability and features. |

We use a range of different CPU’s in our servers from dual core Intel Xeon Woodcrest and AMD Opteron processors right up to the latest quad-core CPU’s from both manufacturers. |

Hardware RAID is a critical requirement for any mission critical system and is included as standard on all of our servers. This technology uses drive mirroring to keep things running should a drive fail. |

All drives in our BladeSystems use SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) technology providing the fastest hard drive data transfer speeds available to the market. In a web hosting environment the drive speed is a major factor so no expense is spared here. |
| We use only the highest quality Corsair RAM in our servers comprising of DDRII technology running at 400 Mhz which ensures that access to the server memory is a quick and efficient process. | |
It must be remembered that a server is often only as good as the network it’s connected to. Please see our network page for a full run down on this area.
